About the Retreat

New Faith Church would like to invite married couples to the 2022 Marriage Retreat, Graveyard Love: ‘Til Death Do Us Part. It will be held July 29-31, 2022. Join us and invite your married friends to build and strengthen our marriages!

Purpose & Commitment

To help couples thrive in their marriage by providing empowering educational tools to nourish and cherish each other in a healthy marriage relationship. The marriage retreat is one of the vehicles to educate, motivate, and empower young and experienced married couples in understanding how to develop/maintain positive Spirit-filled marriages.

**Theme - Graveyard Love: ‘Til Death Do Us Part**

Graveyard Love challenges couples to understand the fundamentals in maintaining and strengthening love in a powerful and intentional way. When you understand God’s purpose for your marriage you’ll be able to maintain a healthy relationship with your spouse ‘til death do us part. Press forward and take the steps necessary to build the marriage God always wanted for you!

The retreat host hotel is the San Antonio Marriott RiverCenter. It is about a 10 minute stroll to the landmark Riverwalk.

Registration Fee

The registration fee is $650 per married couple with a minimum $100 down payment (non-refundable) to reserve a spot.

Payment deadline is July 1.

Chavon and Lakiesha have been married for 18 years and have 4 children; Derek, Romone, Chavon Jr., and Cne’.

Lakiesha is passionate about motivating women, encouraging them to be confident and to pursue God’s plan for their lives. She believes that confidence and great faith will have a tremendous impact on their families and home life first, as this is where true ministry is birthed. Whether speaking to single women about preparation for marriage, or to married women about being the best that God called them in to be in their gender purpose as a wife, she desires to change the lives of each woman she encounters. Her focus is motivating women to have a personal relationship with God, loving others as you love yourself and using your gifts to change your World. She has ministered in Africa to married women both in person and virtually. And last year completed ministry school.

Chavon has come to know the Lord over the past 20 years and God’s heart for intimate relationship with mankind. Chavon realized that the dynamic of family starts with the position a man must take with relating to God the Father. This position is to worship God freely, and serve the world openly. Chavon became an ordained Deacon in 2009, and continued his learning and completed ministry school. Through his experience the Lord called him into Pastoring Men of Acts Ministries.

Together, they have written a 31 Day Marriage Devotional. Its under the umbrella of Men of Acts Ministries, this retreat, the First Comes Love Marriage Retreat was birthed, as well as a mens and women’s ministry, a mentoring program, a homeless outreach, and most recently a city wide Baby Shower that took place in 3 different cities in 2021. The two of them have been in ministry together now for over 10 years.
