CATALYST Christian Education
Changing lives to change the world
Purpose
A catalyst is an agent of transformation. It is something that brings about a significant change in something else. Our Lord has called the church to be the greatest force for change the world has ever known. CATALYST provides Bible-centered learning experiences that serve the spiritual and personal needs of the New Faith Church family to the greater glory of God (Mark 12:30-31). It rests on three core biblical pillars: a confession, a commission and a course of action.
Philosophy
Confession: A confession is a formal statement of beliefs. It is our world view for how we live and serve. Based on Christ’s words in Mark 12:30-31, our ministry efforts are performed to impart a deeper love for God, for others and for ourselves to His greater glory.
Commission: A commission is God’s marching orders for service. In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus commanded the church to share His message of hope to the world and to help men, women, boys and girls reach their God-given potential.
Course: Our course of action is the manner in which we carry out the responsibilities of God’s Commission. Based upon Ephesians 4:11-16, Catalyst seeks to have direct impact on in four key areas of an individual’s life: character (the moral quality of thoughts, feelings and actions), competence (understanding biblical truth and Christian doctrine), community (the ability to develop and maintain healthy relationships) and calling (assisting with discerning God’s will for service and development of skills to serve).
