New Faith Church Boy Scouts
The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
Scouting is a ministry for boys between the ages of 6 and 18 that enjoy the outdoors. In scouting you will be camping, hiking, fishing, swimming, and many other activities that take you beyond the indoors. Scouting is fun and has been described by some as the “game with a purpose”. The purpose is for molding generations of boys with values and ethical standards into a special breed of men - responsible and responsive, capable of leadership, yet trained in team work, able to adapt and face changing challenges of their times. The unique strength of the Scout ethic is that it remains as relevant today as it was in 1910 when scouting began. The seeds of the future are already sewn. What Scouting does for each boy, it does for the man he will become. In doing so Scouting paves the way for individuals along the road of life.
Cub Scouts are for boys in grades 1st through 5th. Boy Scouts are for boys in grades 6th through 12th.
